These terms and conditions explain how the Go.Getaway reward works, who can get it, and the rules of which you need to be aware.
The key points you should know.

How to redeem: After purchasing an eligible policy through Go.Compare, we will email you about your reward. Your unique code will usually be sent to you within 15–45 days after your policy has been purchased, once the insurer confirms the policy.

Time limits: You have 90 days to register your claim after our email, and then 10 months to make your travel booking before the reward expires.
•
Choice is final: Once you register and choose either the flight or hotel option, you cannot swap or change your selection later.
•
No cash alternative: The £50 can only be used for a travel booking through our partners - there is no cash equivalent or refunds of the discount if your booking costs less than £50.
•
One use only: Your reward cannot be split across bookings or combined with other offers.
•
Cancellation: If you cancel your policy within 30 days of purchase you lose the reward.
•
Not our booking: Your travel booking is with the provider (hotel/airline), not us - their terms apply and additional local charges may still be payable.
How this reward works.
Who we are.
We are GoCompare.com Limited (company number 5799376, FCA reference number 465053, registered address Suite 2a Hodge House, 114-116 St Mary Street, Cardiff, Wales, CF10 1DY, United Kingdom). We offer the travel reward when you buy an eligible policy through our site in accordance with these terms.
What you get.
A choice of £50 off a hotel (used inside the Travel Credits portal we give you access to) or £50 off a flight (used through the specific Opodo.com link/journey we send). The discount only works through the links/portals we provide and must be registered with the same email address you used to purchase your insurance. There’s no cash alternative.
Who does what.
Our delivery partner, TLC Marketing Worldwide UK Ltd, runs the gogetaway.com website and will provide the details you need to redeem your reward.
Hotel bookings are provided through Travel Credits and flight bookings through Opodo.com. Your booking is made with those travel providers, not with Go.Compare or TLC.
Who can get it.
UK residents aged 18+ who buy a qualifying car or home insurance policy via Go.Compare on or after 17 December 2025. The insurer must confirm your policy, and you must not cancel it within 30 days.
When and how you claim.
We’ll email you about your reward within 45 days of your purchase. Use that email to register your claim within 90 days of the email date. If you don’t register in time, you lose the right to claim.
Using your reward.
After you register your claim and choose either a flight or hotel reward, we’ll send you either a Travel Credits username and unique PIN code (for hotels) or a Opodo.com code/link (for flights). Your reward choice is final and cannot be changed or swapped at a later date. Once issued, you must use the code/login within 10 months or it will expire.
Limits and combining offers.
It’s one £50 reward per policy. You can’t combine multiple rewards on the same booking. Partner checkouts usually won’t allow you to use other promo codes at the same time.
What this is not.
This is a discount on a stand-alone travel booking you choose to make. It does not turn Go.Compare into your travel provider and does not create a package holiday with us. Check the travel provider’s refund and change rules before you book. Some options may be non-refundable or have change fees. Your statutory rights are not affected.

Eligibility.
You must live in the UK (England, Wales, Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands) and be 18+ at the time you buy. You need to buy a new motor or home insurance policy using Go.Compare on or after 17 December 2025. That means you start on Go.Compare, use our link to go to the insurer from our results, and buy the policy in that visit. If you buy another way (for example, you go to the insurer directly or you come back later without using our link), it won’t qualify.
We only send the reward email containing your unique claim code once your insurer confirms the policy has started. If you cancel in the first 30 days after your cover starts, you won’t be eligible for, or receive, the reward.
If a genuine technical problem means our systems don’t show that you used our link, you won’t lose out. Email support@gogetaway.com with reasonable proof, such as your policy schedule, and we’ll treat your purchase as eligible.
You can receive one £50 reward for each eligible policy you buy, but you cannot apply more than one reward to the same travel booking.
You cannot receive this reward alongside other Go.Compare promotions where available unless we say otherwise as part of another promotion.
Even if a policy names more than one person, the reward will be issued to the email address of the named account holder.
We may refuse or withdraw a reward if we reasonably believe there is fraud, misuse or a breach of these rules, and we will explain why if that happens.
Claiming your reward.
After you buy an eligible policy using Go.Compare, we will email you about your reward. A unique code will then be sent to you usually 15–45 days after your policy has been purchased, once the insurer has confirmed the policy. If you have not heard from us by then, check your junk folder and then contact us at customerservice@gocompare.com. If our systems did not record your purchase, send us reasonable proof (for example, your policy schedule) and we will treat your purchase as eligible.
From the date we email you your unique code, you have 90 days to register your claim on the site we link to. Follow the link and give the details we ask for. If you miss this window, the reward lapses.
Once your claim is accepted, you’ll receive the details needed to use your reward. For hotels, that is a Travel Credits username and unique PIN code. For flights, that is a Opodo.com link or code.
When issued, your code or login must be used within 10 months of issue or it will expire. We do not give cash instead of the reward and the reward cannot be exchanged or changed once selected.
If the Go.Getaway portal or link is temporarily unavailable when you try to redeem, tell us at support@gogetaway.com. We will extend the use by date.
We may delay or refuse a claim if we reasonably think there is fraud or misuse. If we do, we will explain why.
Using your reward.
Use the username and unique PIN code we email you for hotels or the Opodo.com link or code we email you for flights to make your booking. The booking you make is with the travel provider shown at checkout (for example, the hotel, airline or their agent). It is not with Go.Compare or TLC.
The travel provider sets the price, availability, and rules for changes and cancellations. If you need to change or cancel, contact that provider and follow their process. We can’t override their terms.
This reward is £50 off a single travel service you choose. It does not make Go.Compare your travel agent or organiser, and it does not create a package holiday with us.
The £50 reward is deducted from the total price shown in the partner’s checkout when you use the login, link or code we sent. If the price is £50 or less, you pay nothing and any unused value is lost (it doesn’t carry over to another booking). If the price is more than £50, you simply pay the balance. There is no minimum spend.
You can only use the reward once and on one booking. It can’t be split across bookings or combined with other promo codes in the partner’s checkout.
The discount applies to the price you see in that checkout for that booking. It won’t apply to anything you buy later in a separate transaction (for example, bags or seat selection added after a flight booking, or extras you agree to pay the hotel on arrival). Some local charges (such as resort fees or city taxes collected at the property) may still be payable and are not covered by the reward.
If you cancel a refundable booking, any refund comes from the travel provider and won’t include the £50 discount (you only get back what you actually paid). If you cancel a non-refundable booking or do not travel, there’s no refund and the £50 is not reissued.
You may give the login, link or code to one other adult for their own booking. It isn’t for resale. If it’s shared further, or offered for sale, we may cancel it. You remain responsible for how it’s used until it’s redeemed.
Local charges collected by the provider (for example, resort fees or city taxes) are not covered by the £50 and may still be payable on arrival.
How we use personal data.
We use your details to check you qualify for the reward, to contact you about it, and to issue the login, link or code you need. We also use limited information to prevent fraud and to fix problems (for example, if tracking fails). You can find our data privacy notice here

TLC, Go.Compare’s delivery partner, is responsible for running the Go.Getaway site and issuing the hotel login or flight link/code. When you go on to make a booking, the travel provider named at checkout (for example, the hotel, airline or their agent) is responsible for the booking information you enter on their site.
To run the reward we need to share some information. We share your name, contact details and proof of your qualifying purchase with TLC so they can issue the reward. TLC shares claim status back to us so we can provide support. You can find TLC’s data privacy notice here
www.tlcworldwide.com/privacy-policy. If you choose to book, you will give details directly to the travel provider on their site. All of those businesses may be required to share information with one another for customer services purposes.
Help and complaints.
If you need help claiming or using your reward, contact support@gogetaway.com. Tell us your name, the insurer, your policy number, the date you bought, and what’s gone wrong (screenshots help).
If the login, link or code we sent does not work, we will fix it or send a new one. If you have lost it, we can re-send it while it is still valid. If the Travel Credits site or the Opodo.com page is temporarily unavailable when you try to redeem, tell us and we will extend the use-by date.
If you want to complain about the reward, explain what happened and what you want us to do. We will also tell you about any independent dispute resolution you may be able to use. The Financial Ombudsman Service covers complaints about financial services (for example, how we handled your quote or purchase), not this travel reward.
For problems with the booking or the travel service itself, such as refunds, changes, delays or quality, please contact the travel provider named on your booking confirmation.
Changes to the reward and to these terms.
We may change or withdraw the reward for new customers at any time before you qualify. If we’ve already emailed you to confirm that you qualify, we won’t reduce the value of your reward.
If a change affects how you redeem (for example, we replace a partner or a partner site is unavailable), we will extend the time to use it.
We may update these terms to reflect legal or security requirements or to correct mistakes. We will not make changes that remove rights you already have without offering a fair remedy.
Our responsibility.
We’ll provide the reward as described and make sure the code, link or login works. If we make a mistake or a partner system fault stops you redeeming, we’ll fix it by re-issuing the details or extending the time to use them so you can still get £50 off comparable travel.
Neither we nor TLC are responsible for your travel booking or your travel arrangements. We’re not responsible for losses we couldn’t reasonably foresee when you agreed to these terms, or for business losses. We don’t limit or exclude anything the law doesn’t let us exclude, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud.
Other terms.
These terms cover the £50 travel reward. Your agreement for the reward is with Go.Compare.
You must keep any login, link or code we send safe. Do not post it publicly or share it beyond what these terms allow. If you lose it, we can re-send it while it is still valid.
If a court says part of these terms is unlawful, the rest will continue to apply. We will replace any invalid wording with something as close as possible that is lawful and fair.
Nothing in these terms reduces your statutory rights.
The laws of England and Wales apply to these terms. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, depending on where you live in the UK.
